Conference programme

Within the conference programme, representatives of key ministries and agencies, industry unions and associations discussed important issues of renewable energy and electric vehicles. Participation in the 14 events of the conference programme allowed for an open dialogue with government representatives and leading experts on topical issues in the development of the green economy.

The forum opened with the Plenary Session on Decarbonisation of the Power Industry and Development of Renewable Energy Sources: Global Trends and the Energy Strategy of Russia.

The event was attended by Pavel Snikkars, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, and Mikhail Ivanov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

Pavel Snikkars, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation:

“Mass transition to green energy is complicated enough and is possible when the price parameters of green energy will be comparable with price parameters of traditional generation. Our country has the potential for technological leadership in this respect, and we see great opportunities for the development of breakthrough technologies in hydrogen development, as we have the resource base and new ideas and technologies”.

Mikhail Ivanov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation:

“The transition to low-carbon technologies in the fuel and energy complex and transport sector is difficult to overestimate, so the Ministry of Industry and Trade is now actively involved in building industrial competencies in these segments”.

Vladimir Kononov, Member of the Russian State Duma, Chairman of the NTI Expo Organising Committee, and Alexey Zhikharev, Renewable Energy Development Association Director and Partner of VYGON Consulting, were the plenary meeting moderators.

Vladimir Kononov, Member of the Russian State Duma, Chairman of the NTI Expo Organising Committee:
