RENWEX 2026 has opened

The International Exhibition and Forum for Energy Saving, Green Energy and Electric Vehicles��RENWEX 2026�has opened in Timiryazev Centre, Moscow. The event is organised by EXPOCENTRE AO with the support of the Russian Ministry of Energy, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russia Renewable Energy Development Association (RREDA), the Distributed Power Generation Association, the National Agency for Energy Saving and Renewable Energy (NAERE), and under auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This year, more than 50 companies from Russia, Belarus and China present advanced technologies in the field of renewable energy, energy saving, electric transport and charging infrastructure. The Salon of Electric Transport and Charging Infrastructure is the largest at the show. It demonstrates both home and small-sized mobile, as well as large multi-standard stations that quickly refuel several cars at the same time.

Sergey Selivanov, Deputy Director General at EXPOCENTRE AO, spoke at the opening ceremony and emphasized that over the years RENWEX has become the leading platform in Russia for demonstrating achievements in the field of renewable energy, electric transport and charging infrastructure.

“Today, this event brings together key market players, government officials, researchers and developers, all those who shape the image of the energy industry of the future.In addition to representatives of the business community, RENWEX welcomes scientific institutions and universities, which will introduce educational programmes and scientific and technological developments in the field of green energy and alternative transport,” said Sergey Selivanov.

The three-day RENWEX 2026 Forum offers an extensive conference programme. Each day will be dedicated to a separate topic. Day 1 is the day of Development Strategy for the Industry and International Cooperation. Day 2 covers the topic of Electric Vehicles and Development of Charging Infrastructure. Day 3 is the Energy Saving Day. A strategic session dedicated to the topic of the day will be held daily.

Show highlights

Companies from four Russian federal districts are taking part in RENWEX 2026: the Volga Federal District: Perm Krai; the Northwestern Federal District: Vologda Oblast, St. Petersburg; the Ural Federal District: Chelyabinsk Oblast; the Central Federal District: Kaluga, Moscow, Ryazan, Tver, and Vladimir Oblasts.

This year, the major part of the show will be occupied by the Salon of Electric Transport and Charging Infrastructure, which will showcase both home and small-sized mobile, as well as large multi-standard stations that quickly refuel several cars at the same time.

The show will also feature high-tech solutions from regular exhibitors such as PSS Corporation, E-PROM, Pandora, PUNKT E, and a number of Chinese manufacturers. This year�s newcomers will be Autoelectro, EV-Time, TVEL, Electromashina RDA, which will present the ELLI trademark. UNISTEP will present gas stations from Belarus for the first time at the show.

A number of Chinese companies will present their advanced developments in the field of renewable energy and electric transport. In addition to the charging infrastructure, they demonstrate a wide range of solutions, from photovoltaic technologies and energy storage systems to ready-made battery production lines with high-tech intelligent equipment.

This year, RENWEX is co-located with Russian Week of High Technologies 2026.

Conference programme

The RENWEX extensive conference programme will reflect all the main trends of the current renewable energy and electric mobility market.

Leading experts in alternative energy, representatives of government authorities, energy companies, business associations, research organisations, and key media will take part in the three-day forum full of strategic sessions, workshops, conferences, and panels. Conference programme

The conference programme of RENWEX 2025 was once again an intellectual core of the exhibition. It brought together different strategic sessions, panel discussions, presentations, and pitch sessions. Each of the three days was dedicated to a different topic: green energy, electric transport, and energy saving technologies.

On the first day, the topics of discussions were trends in sustainable energy transition and international cooperation. There were sessions with participation of experts from Belarus, Egypt, the UAE, as well as discussion of smart energy for isolated territories and issues of HR potential of the industry.

The second day focused on the development of electric transport. The participants presented technological solutions and discussed strategies for expanding the charging infrastructure. Pitch sessions and an open dialogue between manufacturers, suppliers and potential partners attracted particular attention.

The third day was devoted to practical issues of energy saving, local energy supply, storage, and microgeneration. The sessions were organised by the Distributed Power Generation Association, the National Agency for Energy Saving and Renewable Energy (NAERE), the Green Kilowatt Association, and others.

RENWEX 2025 participants discuss energy saving and new technologies

The conference programme on the closing day of the 6th�International Exhibition and Forum for Energy Saving, Green Energy and Electric Vehicles ��RENWEX 2025�is dedicated to energy saving and new technologies.��

The focus is on energy saving, distributed power generation, and energy storage.

The Session on Practical Aspects of In-House Energy Supply is devoted to localised power supply systems for business and infrastructure. The event is organised jointly with the Distributed Power Generation Association. �

The Session on Small Hydropower and Hybrid Energy Systems: Organisational Structures and Attraction of Financing is a joint project with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation and the National Agency for Energy Saving and Renewable Energy (NAERE).

The Panel on Energy Storage Systems: Potential for Development of Russian Research and Production Base is dedicated to the integration of storage into energy systems, battery development, and localisation issues.

Session on the Experience of SPP Implementation is organised by the Green Kilowatt Association of Renewable Energy Specialists.

All events are accompanied by demonstrations of technologies presented in the exhibition.

The International Exhibition and Forum for Energy Saving, Green Energy and Electric Vehicles ��RENWEX 2025�has opened at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds, Moscow. The change of dates is due to the order of the President of the Russian Federation that is transferring the territory of EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds for use by the Russia National Centre. Exhibitions will continue to be held at Krasnopresnenskaya embankment until 1 June 2025.

This year, RENWEX has celebrated its 5^th anniversary. The show fully reflected the capabilities of green energy and electric transport in this country and familiarised users with the latest technological trends in this field.

�RENWEX 2024 presents the latest developments for renewable energy and electric transport. Other remarkable developments are seen in solar, wind, hydro and geothermal energy, as well as in the bioenergy sector. This year we have expanded the conference programme, with each of the three days devoted to a different topic. It provides a unique opportunity for both exhibitors and visitors to delve deeper into each topic and discuss the most pressing issues of the industry.�

The event was a platform for professional discussions and exchange of views between representatives of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Ministry of Energy, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, the Russian State Duma Committee for Energy, the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development of the City of Moscow, business associations, and established research organisations.

Over the five years, RENWEX has grown both in the number of exhibitors and the scale of its showcase.

�Over the years, the show has established itself as a high-quality and effective business platform and has become a leading event in the field of energy-saving technologies, renewable energy, electric transport and charging infrastructure in Russia. It is worth noting that from year to year there is an increase in new companies coming to the show as exhibitors. In 2024, about 85 companies (about 65 Chinese and 20 Russian) are participating for the first time, which is about 66% of the total number of exhibitors.�

Young professionals got an opportunity to see first-hand how the industry was developing, learned about new developments, technologies and equipment, got feedback from experts, established valuable business contacts, and attracted potential investors. Several universities showcased their own technological developments: MISIS � University of Science and Technology, Institute of Solid State Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, National Research Univeristy � Moscow Power Engineering Institute, and others.

Conference programme

The show was accompanied by a conference programme. More than 90 experts discussed the industry�s most relevant issues, state support measures, prospects for the development of RES, including microgeneration, as well as electric transport and the creation of infrastructure for it.

The forum was opened with the Strategic Session on Development of Green Energy Amid Growing Sanctions: Economic and Technological Aspects.

The experts discussed integration of renewable energy sources into the energy system, the development of machine building for each of the key types of renewable energy sources, the need for a balance between increasing RES-based generation and developing Russia\'s technological leadership in this area.

The first day of the RENWEX 2024 conference programme was devoted to Green Technology and Energy Efficiency. The Russia Renewable Energy Development Association held the Panel on Human Resources for Renewable Energy: Prospects and Challenges! with the support of the Russian Energy Agency of the Russian Ministry of Energy.

According to the speakers, the renewable energy sector will become one of the largest employers in the future. That is why it needs a large number of highly qualified personnel. Currently, Russia is experiencing a shortage of personnel in the fuel and energy sector, which is felt particularly acutely in the energy transition technologies industry. The discussion focused on what solutions were the most effective for overcoming the personnel deficit, what new trends were forming in the labour market as a result of the development of renewable energy, what specialists would be most in demand, and what interested students should learn.

The panel was attended by representatives of Russian universities specialising in renewable energy, representatives of companies and recruitment agencies.

The professional audience was interested in the Panel on Power Engineering and New Technologies: State Support Measures and the Session on Green Energy and Energy Efficiency � What Technologies Are We Missing?

The topic of Electric Transport and Infrastructure Development was the focus of the second day of the forum.

The day opened with the Strategic Session on Electric Transport in Russia: Infrastructure Development and International Cooperation.

The speakers assessed the development of the electric vehicle fleet in the country, which had grown significantly in recent years. They spoke about the formation of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, state incentives for the purchase of domestically produced electric vehicles, and state support measures for electric vehicle manufacturers and charging stations.

The attention of the audience was drawn to a speech dedicated to the development of electric transport in Moscow, to which the capital\'s government is currently paying great attention, implementing an ambitious programme to switch to an all-electric bus fleet by 2030.

The discussion was attended by business representatives and foreign partners, who spoke about existing problems in the development of electric transport and charging infrastructure, offered their vision of solving these problems, and outlined the directions for further development of the industry.

The second day continued with a session organised by the Energy Policy magazine. The participants of the session presented a number of projects for the production of electric vehicles and the development of charging infrastructure in Russia, and discussed achievements, prospects and barriers.

The next session was devoted to energy storage systems. The participants exchanged information on promising Russian developments in this important area and discussed whether Russia could become one of the world leaders in battery production.

The second day of the programme concluded with the Session on Electric Battle: Roaming vs. Aggregation, organised by Sitronics Electro. Representatives of manufacturers of charging equipment for electric vehicles, charging infrastructure operators that operate this equipment, and companies that aggregate charging stations for electric vehicles discussed the problems of creating a friendly information environment for electric vehicle drivers about the charging infrastructure for their vehicles.

The third day was devoted to the topic of Development of Microgeneration in Russia.

On this day, the Strategic Session on Renewable Energy Sources as a Strategic Vector of Development of Remote Territories of the Far North. Energy Security, Investments, Technical Solutions was organised with the support of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation and the National Agency for Energy Saving and Renewable Energy (NAERE).

The session participants pointed out that the development of distributed generation in remote and isolated areas was one of the strategic objectives of the Russian Federation in the energy sector.

They agreed that renewable energy sources can be a solution for supplying remote areas. This route combines both the need for solving state tasks and the possibility of applying new technologies, searching for investment and engineering solutions.

The Panel on the International Technological Cooperation and Industrial Cooperation in Small-scale Power Engineering, held jointly with the Non-profit Partnership for the Development of Renewable Energy EUROSOLAR Russia, and the Panel on Microgeneration: What Technologies Do We Need Today and What Will Happen Tomorrow?, organised jointly with the Green Kilowatt Association of Renewable Energy Specialists, touched upon promising trends of microgeneration.

A session on heat pumps was held jointly with the Russian Centre of Business Negotiations as part of the thematic day. The participants exchanged information on energy, and environmental and economic efficiency of heat pump technologies.
