New enterprises of the Far East require personnel

Many Far Eastern regions are experiencing a shortage of personnel due to the intensive creation of new enterprises, as well as the implementation of construction projects. Such data were made in the speeches of the governors of the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District (Far Eastern Federal District) at a meeting on summing up the work in 2021 and priorities for 2022.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev.

So, in particular, the need of the Republic of Buryatia for professional personnel until 2025 is estimated at 26.6 thousand people with initial training in working professions and 7.3 thousand people with short-term training in working professions. At the same time, the demand for specialists is several times higher than the current volume of supply in the labor market.

Disproportions in the labor market are observed in the Trans-Baikal Territory. In the region there are about 4 thousand vacancies in construction, more than 2.8 thousand - at enterprises engaged in mining, more than 1.5 thousand people - in manufacturing industries.

In 2022-2024, retraining programs, special vocational education and higher education will be implemented in the Far East, and a number of secondary vocational education institutions will be reconstructed.

According to the program of the Ministry of Education of Russia, the material and technical base of colleges has already been modernized – 36 new specialties have been opened, 1 thousand budget places have been additionally allocated. It is planned to create educational and production clusters within the framework of the federal project "Professionalism".

The Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (KRDV) has launched a portal for citizens to "Study and work in the Far East and the Arctic", which allows you to quickly find a job in the specialty at new enterprises, a network of information centers of the KRDV in the Far Eastern regions has been created.

The Arctic Appeal program is also being implemented, aimed at providing enterprises located in the Far North with labor resources – in 2022, more than 30 thousand people will become its participants.
