Premiere of RENWEX at Expocentre

Today Expocentre Fairgrounds hosted the opening ceremony of the new international exhibition RENWEX 2019. Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicles and the International Forum on Renewable Energy for Regional Development. It is Russia's first exhibition and congress project fully devoted to the renewable energy industry.

RENWEX consists of the international exhibition and the specialised forum which are held under the slogan "Creating the future of renewable energy together". RENWEX is organised by Expocentre AO under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The trade show is supported by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, EUROSOLAR Russia Non-Profit Partnership for Development of Renewable Energy, and the Russian Solar Energy Association.

Companies from Austria, China, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland, and Turkey showcase their achievements, new technology and developments in the field of renewable energy and electric vehicles.

At the opening ceremony First Deputy Director General of Expocentre Nikolay Gusev welcomed the participants in the trade show and the forum. Then he gave the floor to Russian State Duma Deputy Vladimir Kononov to perform the opening ceremony. He emphasized the importance of the topic of the trade show and the forum and said that RENWEX was part of the NTI Expo (Research-Technology-Innovations Expo) program that united major events aimed at promotion of national projects with participation of government agencies.

Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia Anton Inyutsyn and Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia Alexey Semenov also spoke at the opening ceremony and told about a growing importance of renewable energy and electric vehicles for this country and wished RENWEX successful start and further development.

Director of the CCI of Russia’s Department for Exhibition, Fair and Congress Activities Sergey Selivanov, Director General of the Russia Renewable Energy Development Association Alexey Zhykharev, Rector of the National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" Nikolay Rogalev, Chairman of the Organising Committee of the International Forum "Renewable energy for regional development", member of the Council of the EUROSOLAR Russia Non-Profit Partnership for Development of Renewable Energy Alexey Kaplun also congratulated the participants and organisers on the opening of the trade show and the forum.
