RENWEX 2020. Renewable Energy & Electric Vehicles and the International Forum on Renewable Energy for Regional Development to take place at Expocentre Fairgrounds on 21–23 April 2020

28 / 11 / 2019

Expocentre will play host to the RENWEX 2020 Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicles exhibition and the International Forum on Renewable Energy for Regional Development on April 21-23 to present new products in the field of renewable energy.

“Creating the future of renewable energy together” is the motto of the event aimed to unlock the industry potential and make practical recommendations on how to lay the foundation for fostering renewable energy resources.

Micro-generation, solar and wind power plants, geothermal and hydropower, biofuels, hydrogen energy - all of them are essential parts of the current energy agenda. The reduction in renewable energy costs and the updated climate agenda have become a motivation for close attention to this area.

The forum and the trade show have a number of challenging goals such as active promotion of the retail renewable energy market in Russia, popularisation of advanced technologies and environmentally-friendly machine building, implementation of innovative hardware, discussion of topical aspects of regional energy, and demonstration of scientific and technological potential of Russia.

RENWEX aims to create a networking platform for renewable energy producers and consumers. It helps emerging businesses to develop in the promising area of renewable energy. Statistically, about 90% exhibitors have found suppliers at the exhibition, and 98% are satisfied with the quality of business leads generated at the event. These numbers evidence the efficiency of the exhibition as a channel of communication between renewable energy equipment suppliers and those interested in the new area of the energy sector. The exhibition is a meeting point for business majors, and representatives of state-run and academic entities operating in this area, where everyone can find points of interest. RENWEX is not limited to products of Russian companies: 63 companies from nine countries – Austria, Germany, China, the Netherlands, Russia, Slovakia, Turkey, France, and Switzerland – took part in the exhibition in 2019. It welcomed 3,519 visitors from 42 countries. The trade show addressed wind power, solar power, hydropower bioenergy, biogas and solid biofuels, geothermal energy, municipal solid waste as a renewable energy source, network infrastructure and solutions for the integration of renewable energy sources, energy and resource saving technologies, energy efficiency in industry, electric transport and electric vehicles, equipment and systems for measurement and control, industrial control systems, safety of energy facilities and environmental protection, investment, finance, and insurance.

The forum’s program will highlight topical aspects of the industry’s development such as development of the renewable energy retail market and necessary technical solutions, regulation of renewable energy sources, use of renewable energy sources for energy supply to remote and isolated consumers, use of biofuels and waste management, international renewable energy practices,  digitalisation of modern energy, development of electric transport and related infrastructure, development of energy storage systems for industrial consumers and households, as well as micro-generation issues, to which a separate day of the forum will be dedicated. Thirteen supporting events involving over 120 speakers and more than 2,000 delegates took place in 2019.

The emphasis will be put on the 21st century trend – electric transport. The trade show will bring together industry majors. Companies, which have recently drawn attention of the market, will present a broad range of electric vehicles and invite visitors to see them in action.

Officials, businessmen, and representatives of expert and public organisations, consulting companies, financial institutions, and leading media outlets will participate in the three-day exhibition and forum.

Expocentre organises the RENWEX 2020 Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicles exhibition jointly with the Russian Ministry of Energy, the CCI of Russia, and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

EUROSOLAR Russia is the organiser of the International Forum on Renewable Energy for Regional Development.”
